Review: Urban Decay The Glinda Palette

If you are into movies than you have already heard about Disney’s Oz: The Great And Powerful movie that was recently released in theaters. So far the movie has done great in theaters for those who are interested in seeing it. If you are into makeup then I am sure you already know about Urban Decay’s new palettes that were created based on two of the characters of the movie. The palettes were designed around Glinda and Theodora; which are the witches from the movie.

These palettes are limited edition items, so if you are interested in picking one up then I would suggest that you do so quickly. Today, I will only be talking about The Glinda Palette. The packaging is quite pretty as it features a sturdy plastic casing with 6 brand new eyeshadows, which includes two due shades for a total of 8 new shades. The palette itself is also a build your own type of palette that you can use to change out the colors whenever you please. There is also a full size Super Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in the shade ‘Glinda’ as well as a sample size of the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in ‘Rockstar.’

The price of the palette is $49, which might seem a bit high, but when you think about all that you are getting. It is really not a bad price. If you break down the cost of purchasing every item on its own you will easily spend around $150. Also included in this palette is a ‘Get The Look’ face chart that you can easily copy the look yourself. Within the palette there is a huge convenient mirror for those makeup lovers that are on the go.

The shades that you will find in the palette are Tornado-dark purple with a shimmery finish, Auro-duo shades are highlights with one that is pale white and the other nude pink, Magic- pink with a hint of gold shimmer, Illusion- orange juice with golden peach hint, Oz-duo shades with one as a gold metallic and the other as a frosted silver, and South- dark taupe with a frosted finish.

If this sound likes a palette that you wish to get your hands on, then I would strongly suggest to pick up a palette or two when you still have the chance. For your reading pleasure take a look at the Top 5 Things You Don’t Know About Your Man.
