Review: Manic Panic Hair Dye

There are plenty of hair coloring products available and it can sometimes become overwhelming for some women to pick out the best possible color product for themselves. If you are looking for over the top hair colors then Manic Panic is the brand for you. They have amazing shades of red, blue, purple, yellow, pink and green. There are a couple of reasons why Manic Panic is amazing for one all products are vegan which means it that the products contains no animal by-products. The products are not tested on animals and that is a great thing.

Manic Panic is a semi-permanent cream color that has conditions to add moisture to the hair. These products work best on lighten hair (bleached hair) for this will give the most intense results. The products do work on brown hair colors, but the results will not be as vibrant as it would be on lightened hair. The color will typically last anywhere from 4-6 weeks and the lighter shades will typically fade fasters than darker shades. There are ways to take care of your colored hair as do not use shampoos and conditioners that have oils and clarifiers. Instead use gentle/mild shampoos that are free of oils and clarifiers.

There are some shades that also come in the form of the Amplified Collection, which means that the formula for the dye is stronger and will last around 30% longer than the originals. Both original and amplified products are ready to use, so there is no mixing or usage of peroxide for these products.

The first picture below shows Manic Panic product Hot Hot Pink on lightened hair and the second picture shows the exact same product on brown hair. This is an example of how bleach hair and natural hair produce different results when using the same product.

I would highly recommend Manic Panic for those who are looking for bright, vibrant fun colors to use for dying their hair. Plus, another neat thing about this product is that some of the shades will glow in the dark under a black light. How cool is that? Looking for a review on cosmetics?
